Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program Changes

Candidates for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot program can now meet the one-year eligible work experience requirement by accumulating 1,560 hours in the three years preceding their applications even if there were breaks in their employment. This policy applies to all applications received under the program, as well as all future applications. Individuals must still meet all other existing admissibility and program requirements, including the recommendation process in the participating RNIP community in which they wish to settle.
